What Makes Bravo Medical Different?
No out-of-pocket consultation costs
Initial and follow-up telehealth appointments are fully covered for eligible patients.
No prescribing or approval fees
We do not charge administrative or application fees for treatment assessments.
Medication may be funded if eligible
Where patients meet relevant funding criteria, prescribed treatment may not incur out-of-pocket costs.
In-house Pain Specialist and Rehabilitation Physician
Unlike many clinics that offer one-off consultations, Bravo Medical provides ongoing access to both a Pain Specialist and a Rehabilitation Physician as part of a coordinated care model.
Ongoing specialist care — not just a single review
Patients can continue to access their treating team for review, adjustment, and monitoring as clinically required.
Veteran-focused care pathways
We understand DVA processes and structure care to minimise delays while maintaining clinical integrity.
Integrated, long-term pain management approach
We focus on structured assessment, functional improvement, and appropriate monitoring — not short-term solutions.
No lock-in contracts
You remain in control of your healthcare decisions at all times.
Accessible Specialist Pain Care — Australia-Wide
Many pain clinics require lengthy wait times and face-to-face attendance. Bravo Medical delivers specialist-supported pain management via secure telehealth, improving accessibility for eligible patients across Australia.
All treatment decisions are made by your clinician following appropriate medical assessment and in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
There are no out-of-pocket costs for your initial consultation or follow-up appointments with Bravo Medical.
If you are eligible, your prescribed medication may also have no out-of-pocket cost.
That means eligible patients can access specialist pain management and medicinal cannabis treatment via telehealth without paying consultation fees — and in some cases, without paying for medication either.
Yes — the process can vary slightly depending on your DVA card type, because each card reflects different eligibility and funding pathways.
In every case, you will start with a thorough telehealth consultation with one of our doctors, who will assess your medical history, current pain management needs and any relevant DVA entitlements.
Gold Card
Holders of a DVA Gold Card have broad coverage for treatment related to accepted conditions. This can include specialist consultations and prescribed treatment where clinically appropriate, with no out-of-pocket costs for eligible services.
White Card
White Card holders also have access to funded consultations and treatment assessments for accepted conditions. Coverage is generally linked to a specific accepted condition, and your clinician will work with you to ensure care aligns with your entitlements.
Orange Card
Orange Card holders are eligible to receive general practitioner and allied health services via Medicare — but specialist and funded treatment pathways may differ. If you have an Orange Card, our team can advise you on the most appropriate pathway based on your clinical needs and funding options.
If you hold a DVA White Card, treatment funding applies only to your accepted service-related conditions. If you’re unsure what conditions are currently accepted, you can check in one of the following ways:
1. Log in to MyGov and Access DVA
You can check your accepted conditions online through your linked DVA account:
Log in to your MyGov account
Select Services
Click on Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
Open your MyService portal
Navigate to your accepted conditions or claims section
This will display the conditions that have been formally accepted by DVA.
2. Log in Directly to DVA MyService
You can also log in directly via the DVA MyService portal.
MyService allows you to:
View accepted conditions
Check claim determinations
Access official letters
Review entitlement details
Many veterans find this the quickest way to confirm their funding eligibility.
3. Call the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
If you prefer to speak with someone directly, you can call DVA on:
1800 VETERAN (1800 838 372)
Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (local time)
When calling, you can ask:
What conditions are currently accepted on my White Card?
Is my [specific condition] covered for treatment?
What funding applies to specialist care?
A telehealth pain consultation with Bravo Medical is a simple, secure, and effective way for Australian veterans to access specialist pain management — without travelling or long wait times.
Here’s how it works:
1. Book Your Appointment Online
You can book directly through our website — no referral required. Choose a time that suits you, anywhere in Australia.
2. Phone Consultation
At your appointment time, you’ll meet with an experienced pain clinician via phone. We conduct a comprehensive assessment of your chronic pain, including:
Location and severity of pain
Service-related injuries
Previous treatments and medications
Imaging or specialist reports (if available)
Impact on sleep, mobility, and daily function
3. Personalised Pain Management Plan
Based on your assessment, we develop a tailored treatment plan. This may include medication review, specialist referrals, allied health coordination, and ongoing monitoring. For eligible veterans, we also guide you through DVA pathways and approvals where required.
4. Ongoing Follow-Up and Support
Chronic pain requires continuity of care. We provide structured follow-up appointments to monitor progress, adjust treatment where needed, and ensure your pain management remains safe and effective.
In many cases, yes — the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) may cover the cost of consultations and prescribed treatment for eligible veterans.
Coverage depends on:
Your DVA card type (Gold, White or Orange)
Whether your condition is accepted by DVA
The type of treatment being considered
Clinical assessment and approval requirements
DVA Gold Card Holders
Gold Card holders generally have broad coverage for clinically appropriate treatment related to accepted conditions, including specialist consultations and prescribed therapies.
DVA White Card Holders
White Card holders may be eligible for funded treatment if it relates to an accepted service-related condition.
DVA Orange Card Holders
Orange Card holders typically access treatment through Medicare arrangements. Specialist and funded treatment pathways may differ, and eligibility is assessed individually.
At this time, DVA does not fund mental health conditions through our clinic.
Bravo Medical is a specialist pain management clinic, and we provide assessment and treatment for chronic pain conditions. DVA funding accessed through our service applies to approved pain-related conditions only.
Mental health conditions are managed under separate DVA funding pathways and typically require treatment through a GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
If you are seeking support for depression, anxiety, PTSD or other mental health concerns, we recommend speaking with your GP or contacting DVA directly to discuss the appropriate referral pathway.
There are no locked-in contracts, no subscriptions, and no cancellation fees at Bravo Medical.
If you miss an appointment, you will not be charged a fee. There are also no out-of-pocket expenses for eligible consultations.
We believe accessing pain management should not come with financial pressure or restrictive agreements. You remain in control of your care at all times.
While we appreciate as much notice as possible if you cannot attend, there are no penalties for rescheduling or missing an appointment.
Our goal is to provide accessible, veteran-focused telehealth care — without hidden costs or contractual obligations.
